Jag Black Chart Topper

Thursday, December 18th, 2008

Awesome, Resn’s new website Jag Black Book has hit the top of the Design Charts. Design Charts scans the traffic from its network of awards sites and uses this data to publish a top 40 of who’s getting the hits every Monday. Also note Resn’s Pacific Heights site at 13 too.

REALLY OHSOME OHZAN

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

Very, very sexy time on the web. Blending old with new in a sophisticated delivery that gets the creative mouth salivating. Dogs wagging tails, subtle water colour textures, smoke billowing… its all there in this Japanese online eutopia. You don’t need to be able to read Japanese to enjoy the best of this artfully applied  3D environment.

PLAY-MY-TORIUM

Tuesday, December 9th, 2008

A great interactive piece from Philadephia based agency Cipher Prime. The problem solving game involved using dynamic circles and shapes that interact with a particle beam. The goal is to light up all the bars of each cube by passing the particles through them. As each bar lights up the audio reactively increases in volume. Some fantastically difficult problems to solve here. The website usefully remembers what level you were last on using cookies. Nice work Cipher!

Peter Schiff Was Right!

Thursday, November 27th, 2008

Courtesy of Boing Boing. ” This video sequence offers a compendium of appearances (covering the 2006-2007 period) by Euro Pacific Capital president Peter Schiff, who is a frequent — and frequently disrespected — talking head on cable news shows. What astonishes is not just the accuracy of his dour predictions about the economy but the sheer arrogance of every other person appearing on these programs.”

girl of my dreams

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

For all those digital romantics out there here is one way to try and track down that ‘dream’ stranger who you never had enough courage to approach. A young man by the name of Patrick Moberg who worked for Adobe Illustrator and Vimeo in New York saw that girl of his dreams on the subway. He got crafty. A valient (or desperate) effort  to track her down bought www.nygirlofmydreams.com, placed a doodle of her and a doodle of himself on the site. US media had a song and dance. Dream girl’s friend found the website, recognised the doodle was her friend and Patrick got to meet his dream girl. Like all things digital it lasted about 2 months… nice try. He should have tried bug testing her on all browsers before launching a relationship with her.
