The monetary density of things

Thursday, August 28th, 2008

“If we look at good-quality 1 carat diamonds, we find that they are quite expensive compared to the industrial diamonds we saw earlier. Now, the diamond monopoly hasn’t kept prices quite as high as LSD, however they are doing a very impressive job of trying. LSD doses measure in the micrograms, which makes the per-pound “street value” of the stuff astronomically high.”

What ya got open in that taskbar designer?

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

Don’t know if the designer of this site put this in on purpose (it is fun trying to get cheeky little immature things through sign-off) or if he was just as oblivious on site launch… But either way it’s gold.

As seen here http://www.orangelabel.com/icons.htm

Map of Olympic Medals

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

A tidy little flash interface that displays a complete archive of the medal tallies for the modern summer games. Circles are sized by the number of medals that a country has won. Little NZ features proudly. Have a look here.

Project For The New American Century

Friday, August 15th, 2008

Watch Youtube Video Here.

This organisation will really get the conspiracy theorists ranting. Actually it is a very scary and powerful entity that is painfully real. Check out good old Wikipedia about them or even check out Project For The New American Century’s own website... which has been strangely taken down. Maybe Wubbya Bush or Cheney forgot to pay the hosting bill.

Scary when anybody’s fundamental proposition includes “accept responsibility for America’s unique role in preserving and extending an international order friendly to our security, our prosperity, and our principles.” Look at who is involved and you’ll see the benefits that their share options in arms manufacturing companies will take. Sneaky!

Silly Idea For A Website

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

Ha! Word on the street is that this new site could be “the next big thing”. I mean come on! Who the hell is going to waste their time watching videos of other people doing pretty much nothing. Waste of money, thank god I’m not an investor in this MASSIVE flop.

Soo Addictive!

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

Mixing weird things together can go so wrong, and more often than not it does. But sometimes it results in wicked-sick-awesome shit! Matching coloured tiles + army management + zombies = addictive well crafted gameplay.
