Utilizing the theory of electrostatics, these fellas have designed a low-cost human-computer interface device that  tracks the position of a user’s hand in three dimensions. To control the device, the user simply waves their hand above it in the air.  Whatever, lets see it….

Cool concept.  Control machines in a studio such as a multi barrelled paint cannon.  Something very old school, art school, expensive school but none the less cool school about this.  The whole idea of having to queue to interact online is classic.  Fire away.

We’re hot again. Resn has been nominated again for the Australian Hot Shop Awards for Digital & Interactive.

The awards are for agencies that “The Hotshop Awards can be summed up in four words: Show Us Something Different! The awards aim to uncover the companies and individuals who are creating truly innovative solutions for their clients by pioneering fresh styles, techniques and strategies across a range of disciplines including advertising, design, interactive, post production, animation, production, sound and photography. We’re looking for exemplary craftsmanship and execution, but we’re also looking for innovative thinking – dynamic thinkers who aren’t afraid to experiment or break the rules.”

Resn’s own Resn 08 website took out the Best Enterprise category of the AIMIA Awards (Australian Interactive Media Industry Association) at the awards ceremony on Friday night in Sydney. This AIMIA award is definitely the heaviest award we have ever received. Our Creative Director, Steve Le Marquand is currently undergoing physiotherapy after having to hold the award all night long at the afterparty.

The award is for “Interactive Media and digital content which demonstrates best practice, innovation and excellence in corporate communications, product and service communications, investor relations…”

We have much party time at Resn and turn the doof doof up. The FWA oh yah.
