Ever wanted to hear one of your favourite musicians perform to you in a private acoustic setting… well this is about as close as it gets. Vincent Moon directs these amazing cinematic treasures of music culture with one camera and some clever editing. Paris based La Blogotheque grabs bands such as Phoenix, Vampire Weekend, Yeasayer, Tom Jones, Fleet Foxes, Bloc Party to name ONLY a few and has them doing impromptu acoustic performances… often in amongst the Parisian public.

Resn did a web ‘makeover’ as feature for .net Magazine’s issue 189, June 2009. Read the article online here and check out the ‘makeover’ design here. If you like buff oily men with a little barbed wire and expolsions mixed in then you’ll love this.

Pretty niffty and hardcore.  This project uses built-in models to compute answers to fact-based questions. Endowed with over 10 trillion pieces of data and 50,000+ algorithms the initial focus is on quantitative information. The goal is to constantly upload new info from the likes of reference libraries and handbook. It’s great to see projects like this and on a smaller scale the Hexosearch actionscript engine provide clearer answers than Google can.  So what ya wanna know?

Cool concept.  Control machines in a studio such as a multi barrelled paint cannon.  Something very old school, art school, expensive school but none the less cool school about this.  The whole idea of having to queue to interact online is classic.  Fire away.
